History is based on facts and history results in change. The history of Demag Cranes & Components began in 1819 with the establishment of Mechanische Werkstätten Harkort & Co. in Wetter an der Ruhr. The company already started manufacturing overhead travelling cranes in 1840, concentrating on the production of cranes and crane components at an early date, also including hoist units with an electric drive since 1910. Today, Demag Cranes & Components is a global player with locations in Germany and subsidiaries and many partner agencies all over the world. Demag China 

Demag started operations in China dating back to 1994 and has set up since then local production factories in European Industrial Zone, Fengxian District, Shanghai. We manufacture crane steel structures and assemble the cranes with imported Demag components such as hoists, travel units and end carriages. Demag cranes are of consistently high performance, produced according to international standards and obeying the Chinese regulations. Our cranes from Fengxian factory are characterized as all Demag cranes by high durability, strong reliability and high load capacities combined with low deadweights, often leading to enormous savings in construction outlay.

 

In Demag Shanghai company assembles from imported components its DC-type chain hoist with a lifting capacity of 80 kg up to 2 tons. Local hoist users can expect a short delivery time as well as fast and full spare parts supply due to an extensive stock on site. Our DC chain hoists have won national-wide acceptance in various industries for their stable quality, low maintenance rate, long life and reliable after-sale service.
