Since 1922 Teci has been working in the market of steel wire ropes and lifting equipment to such an extent that their brand TREFOLO ROSSO has become synonymous of safety and quality.

In 1985 Teci was absorbed into Redaelli group – company established in 1819 and specialized in the wire high-carbon rod drawing – and in January 2004 Teci became a division of Redaelli Tecna S.p.a.

As from 1st August 2008 Teci, together with the other two divisions - Tensoteci Engineering and Redaelli Wire rope -, is 100% owned by JSC “Severstal-metiz”, an international company manufacturing steel wire and wire products, with production facilities in Russia, Ukraine, UK and Italy (Lucchini).

The entry of Redaelli into Severstal group is the conclusion of an integrated organization process of the Group that turned efforts from collateral activities and focusing the attention on the production of special wire rope, engineering of tensioned/suspended structures and the distribution of steel wire ropes and lifting accessories.

In December 2009 Redaelli has opened the new facility in Trieste where GIANTS rope are produced mainly for off-shore. This facility is capable to produce the largest steel wire rope in the world, with a maximum net weight of 550 tons (without reel ). The range of products can go from a diameter of 7” in a max continuous length of 3800m to 3” size in a max continuous length of 19000m

Nowadays we are the biggest Italian company in the market of steel wire ropes and lifting equipment providing to our clients a capillary service through our wide sales network: 9 are our Italian plants located in Torino, Milano, Brescia, Padova, Bologna, Perugia, Roma, Brindisi and Messina.

The same service is provided abroad by TECI by 2 new distribution companies dealing in their market with our Italian product. TECI Istanbul in Turkey and TECI Rus in Russia are already operating in their territory with their own structures, facilities and depots.
